So, what does Bachik see ruling the nail circuit in 2025? “I believe we’re going to see a bit of dichotomy in nail shades for 2025,” he says. “Complementary and contrasting shades are what people will be looking for. Colors will be softer and semi-sheer in nature, giving them depth and translucency.”

In terms of what shades Bachik sees trending in the new year, he predicts the consistent rise of coffee-inspired shades like latte and mocha browns, as well as an uptick in “bright and bold unexpected pops of color” through the likes of blues, pinks, purples and peach colors. Another of Bachik’s predictions for 2025 is a steady interest in intriguing effects on the nails. “Effects like shimmers, pearls and iridescence powders will be used like color over natural nails or sheer colors to create even more effects,” he says.
