Millie Bobby Brown Stuns Fans With Platinum Blonde Hair Transformation

Over the weekend, Millie Bobby Brown had the entire NewBeauty team doing a double take with her latest Instagram post. On Sunday, February 2, the 20-year-old actress took to her grid to debut her newest hair transformation, trading her brunette strands for platinum blonde.

This isn’t the first time the Stranger Things actress has gone blonde, but this version feels fresh. The look is complemented by long curtain bangs that give off a distinct early-aughts vibe. Brown made the reference clear, too, adding an overlay of Y2K-inspired graphics to the first photo of her Instagram carousel.

As seen in the photos (which we’re guessing you’ve already clicked through), Brown showed off her new hair for her 63 million Instagram followers while wearing a sleek, figure-hugging black dress. She paired the look with equally bold glam, including a matte, defined lip and a sultry smokey eye. She left the post captionless, but that didn’t stop fellow celebrities and fans from flooding the comments section at full speed.

“This eats,” Madison Bailey commented, while another wrote, “UM DEVOURED!? ATE!? FEASTED!? COOKED!?” Others speculated that the transformation could be a teaser for a potential role in The Woman in Me, the future Britney Spears biopic. “Ready to play Britney now,” one person wrote, while another simply asked, “BRITNEY???”

Their theories aren’t completely off base. After all, Brown previously told Drew Barrymore she’d be interested in portraying the pop icon. “I want to play a real person and I think, for me, Britney. [It] would be Britney Spears,” she said. “I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.” So, could this hair transformation be a subtle hint? We’ll just have to wait and see.
