What are you excited for fans to experience when it debuts?

"I am! There are so many reasons to be excited, and I think the one that will resonate with most fans is the fact that this is a feel-good movie. It’s always nice to sit down with family and friends and indulge in a film that makes you feel something. The Supremes will have you laughing, crying, and talking back to the characters like you know them. That’s super exciting to me!"

What was the most challenging aspect of the role?

"It might not be challenging, but one of the aspects that I made sure to pay the most attention to was allowing those delicate and soft nuances of Odette to peak and shine through her tough exterior. She’s still a young girl who wants to be loved just as much as she gives love."

What are some noteworthy glam moments from the set?

"Andrea Jackson and Dionne Wynn both put so much time and care into Odette’s look. The curly hair with the bang was my favorite! I think it’s such a youthful and sweet hairstyle that offers a fun complement to Odette’s boldness. The hair/makeup trailer is where you start your day on set. It’s also where you set the mood and intentions for the day. We would sing and dance our hearts away every morning. It’s where we all had our deepest conversations, too."

What are some of your must-have hair and skin-care products?

"I love using Cécred on my hair—in fact, it’s one of the only products that keeps my curls juicy and shiny throughout the day. When it comes to skin, I always use my L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation—it stays on and slays on all day!"

What else do you have on tap this fall?

"I plan a trip overseas every year, and hope to make my first trip to an African country this year. My next film, Eenie Meanie, has also just finished production and I can’t wait for everyone to watch that, too!"

What is the one thing you want to check off your list before we get to Labor Day?

"Well, this one might not happen so soon, but I want to meet Beyoncé. I’ve been waiting for that moment my whole life, and I’ll just keep speaking it into existence."
