From pantry staples to frozen favorites, there are quite a few recalls right now that more consumers need to know about. Hereā€™s what to know.

Over 16,000 pounds of breadcrumbs were recalled nationwide, per a recent Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announcement. This is because the recalled products may contain sesame, which is an undeclared allergen on the packaging.

The breadcrumbs impacted by this recall were two varieties of La Fiesta branded breadcrumbs: unseasoned and seasoned. The recalled breadcrumbs were sold from April 10, 2024, through January 22, 2025, so they could be in consumersā€™ pantries.

Sesame is a common allergen, so those allergic to sesame may unknowingly consume this product, causing a reaction as severe as anaphylaxis. Signs of anaphylactic shock include hives, swelling, trouble breathing, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, tightness of the throat and cardiac arrest. Call 911 immediately if you are showing symptoms of severe allergic reaction.

Canned Tuna

Most recently announced, there is a large recall on multiple brands of canned tuna sold in popular grocery stores in the U.S., according to the FDA. This is due to the cans posing a botulism risk.

The canned tuna impacted included brands like Genova, H-E-B, Trader Joeā€™s and Van Campā€™s. They were sold in grocery chains like Costco, Kroger, Publix, Trader Joeā€™s and Walmart, among others. See the full recall for specific product information.

These cans of tuna are being recalled due to a manufacturing defect that may compromise the productsā€™ seal. A loose or broken seal can allow bacteria like Clostridium botulinum to enter and grow inside the can, which can lead to foodborne illness. If you are experiencing signs of botulism like bloating, constipation, muscle weakness, dizziness or difficulty breathing after consuming one of the recalled tuna products, talk to your healthcare provider immediately.

Frozen Chicken Nuggets

Wegmans announced a recall on their storebrand Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat Nuggets. This follows multiple consumer complaints reported that they found bone fragments in the product.

The recalled 46-ounce bags of nuggets have a printed best-by date of August 26, 2025, and an establishment number of ā€œP-33944,ā€ which you can find inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were sold in Wegmans Food Markets in the following states and city: Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

If you have this recalled product on hand, dispose of it or return it to your local Wegmans for a refund. Contact your doctor if you are experiencing any injury or illness after eating the recalled nuggets.

Milk

Check your refrigerator or pantry: over 230,000 mini cartons of milk have been recalled. The Horizon Aseptic Plain Whole Milk was sold in 12-count boxes of 8-ounce cartons in three states: Arizona, California and Nevada. CVS was one of the retailers that sold this recalled product.

The milk has a printed UPC of ā€œ3663207113ā€ on the 12-carton cases and ā€œ3663207127ā€ on individual cartons. The recall was announced after a packaging error was found that may cause the product to spoil earlier than labeled. If you are experiencing any illness after drinking the impacted milk, call your healthcare provider.Ā

Sausage

Thereā€™s an active recall on approximately 17,720 pounds of sausage link products, according to the U.S. Department of Agricultureā€™s Food Safety and Inspection Service. This is due to a foreign matter contamination.

The DJā€™s Boudain brand sausage products being recalled contain sell-by date March 9, 2025, establishment number ā€œEST. 13246ā€ on their packaging and were sold in three states: Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The product was sold in 12-ounce, 16-ounce and 24-ounce packages, and this recall also impacts their 12-ounce DJ’s Jalapeno Boudain variety.Ā

The sausage links are being recalled after a consumer reported finding ā€œa piece of a pen while eating the Original Boudain sausage links product,ā€ according to the report. This caused an oral injury. Eating this recalled product could result in illness or injury, so throw away any sausage that matches the above information, or return it to your place of purchase.
