What do Issa Rae, Suki Waterhouse, Ego Nwodim and Sarah Snook all have in common? Aside from them all having incredible acting chops, the four stars made appearances at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5, and they all happened to use the same product to get the glowiest, dewiest skin ever

The theme for the night was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” essentially an expression of Black dandyism, and while all four actresses interpreted the theme in their own separate ways fashion-wise, their makeup looks were all pulled together by products from Merit Beauty. Each star’s glam squad perfected their respective looks with a variation of serums, primers, blushes and brow products from the brand’s lineup, but they all happened to use the Merit Day Glow Highlighting Balm ($32) to give their cheekbones a little extra shine.

The highlighting balm comes in four shades, from rose gold to bronze, and it includes hydrating ingredients like squalane and vitamin E to give the skin a healthy, moisturized glow. Rae’s makeup artist, Joanna Simkin, used the golden shade, Citrine, on her, as did Nwodim. Snook and Waterhouse both wore the shade Cava, which is more of a lighter, champagne color.

Of course, these women weren’t the only showstoppers in attendance at Monday night’s event, as there were enough incredible beauty looks to go around. Check out the rest of the best beauty looks of the night.
