How to Wear White Eyeshadow

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the cold-girl, ice-queen, snow-bunny beauty aesthetic that’s been taking hold as we ease into 2025, and adding white, bright shadow onto your lids is a key part of this seasonal style. According to celebrity makeup artist and industry mogul, Sandy Linter, “White eye shadow can be worn every day in the inner corner of the eye,” making for a subtle statement look that wakes up the whole face. “It effectively makes you look like you’ve had a full nights rest.” So, if you’re feeling a little tired this winter, try adding some white to the inner corner of your everyday eyeshadow look.

White eyeshadow has more uses than just a wake up call, though. “If you want to use only white eyeshadow on the lids instead of just in the inner corner, it looks particularly nice on brunettes with dark brows,” Linter explains, “Or, if you have lighter hair (brown, blonde or red) and very thin, minimal brows, you can just wear the shade with curled lashes and mascara. This can be an adorable look reminiscent of those done in the early 1970’s with light blue shadows.”
