Yes, the Amazon ‘Egg White Facial’ Really Is That Good, Says This Celeb Aesthetician

When data machine Spate revealed its TikTok Consumer Trend Highlights for Q4 earlier this week, there was one super-creative beauty move that made it on the list. The term “egg white facial” claimed the top spot, showing a +1.5 million percent uptick in quarter-over-quarter growth.

After I saw the stats, I called up New York aesthetician Taylor Worden to see if any of her clients were asking her for it. And, while the term isn’t something people are coming in and requesting by name, she told me she’s a big fan of doing the at-home version.

What is the ‘egg white facial’?

“The Zombie Pack Mask from Skin1004 ($25) is an egg white facial that is a great temporary mask. You can do it at home and it does a number of benefits for your skin,” Worden says. “It is packed with albumin, a protein from egg whites. You mix the activator with the powder and mix and then apply on your face and neck in upward strokes. Within a few minutes, the mask dries and your skin feels super tight. While Worden says the mask “looks a little scary and like a zombie,” she does think the product’s results are legit. “I leave it on for 15 minutes and wash it off with water. The mask gives you a glow, removes dead skin cells, helps with pore size, tightens, brightens, softens, hydrates, firms and lifts the skin. I also like that it can be used on most skin types.”

Besides the albumin, the mask contains aloe vera, allantoin, lavender oil, centella asiatica, sea buckthorn extract, birch extract, adenosine, and Rose of Jericho extract.
